Madrid, 13 Junio 2022. Solar Steel, division of Gonvarri Industries, has received the Gold Medal from Ecovadis, the global standard platform for sustainability managemente, for its performance in: environment, labor practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

This recognition places the subsidiary well above the sector average and reflects the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) aspects in Gonvarri Industries’ strategy, the promotion of sustainability by senior management and the involvement of all the group’s professionals.

Compliance with sustainability objectives in companies has come to occupy a relevant place on the agenda of management teams, and in purchasing teams this is confirmed by the growth of sustainable purchasing strategies as an element to reinforce resilience and the creation of value through the supply chain.
