Solar Steel supplies 258 MW of its TracSmarT+® tracker in the state of Sonora, Mexico


Madrid, July 30th 2019. Solar Steel, division of industrial giant Gonvarri Industries is supplying 7.757 single axis trackers TracSmart+® for a 258MWp PV Project located in the state of Sonora, Mexico.

The project is currently under construction and its connection is expected by the first quarter of 2020. The power plant was awarded with a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) in the 3rd Mexican Power Auction in November 2017.

The solar facility is set to occupy more than 990 hectares and will generate enough electricity to supply 214,000 households.

Along with this Project, Solar Steel has supplied over 1,065 MWp of PV trackers in the country, positioning Solar Steel among the largest tracker providers in Mexico.
