Solar Steel participates as a speaker at Energyear Colombia 2023

Gonzalo Baselga, our Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) at Solar Steel, took part in the expert panel “Considerations for the selection of structures in projects with photovoltaic and floating photovoltaic solutions in Colombia: Tips and major practices” at Energyear Colombia 2023.

During the discussion, Gonzalo provided detailed insights into our multi-product platform’s qualities, including trackers, fixed structures, solutions for distributed generation, and agrivoltaics. He also highlighted our extensive international experience with over 19GW supplied, 7.6GW of which are in LATAM & USA.

Additionally, Gonzalo showcased our commitment to employment and manufacturing in Colombia. The presence of the Gonvarri Industries Group in Medellín includes a manufacturing plant with 400 employees, which has supplied over 500MW of trackers and fixed structures.

Furthermore, he emphasized our differentiating factor, beyond local supply capabilities, which lies in our commitment to customers throughout the project lifecycle. With our post-sales service “SmarTCare” also based in Medellín, we have spare parts hub in the country, local response times, and the ability to extend the warranty periods for our products installed in Colombian soil.
