Reforestation efforts in Valdés after devastating asturian wildfire

In the framework of the Gonvarri Life program, the Solar Steel team has initiated the reforestation of the Valdés mountainous region, specifically in the Setienes council area. This action is in response to the wildfire that ravaged over 16,000 hectares of vegetation in this region in 2023, leaving a significant environmental impact.

Solar Steel‘s commitment to environmental preservation is evident in its active participation in the recovery of this beautiful natural area. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the company is a sponsor of the Trail del Tamburieḷḷo, an event scheduled for next April in these restored mountains.

The initiative gains particular significance in light of the harsh reality experienced by the Principality last year, with over 22,000 hectares consumed by flames.
